Safe Place does not believe it is enough to merely feed, provide safety or shelter
a child. That is why we are partnering with qualified agencies who share our mission and vision. One of our projects,
called Grace Children's Home, is located in Plattsburg, MO. The 6000 ft. facility can include a 10-bed, short term residential
treatment shelter for children 10-18. It may also be utilized also as an emergency shelter which will also accomodate
theraputic mentoring, counseling, and advocacy space for children, parents, and families as well as a variety of community
services and administrative offices
Who Can Help?? We
all can! Operating since 2005, Safe Place for Kids, Inc. is a not for profit organization joined with a group of dedicated
volunteers. Currently, one of our projects is rebuilding a children's residential center in the metropolitan Kansas City
area. We are relying on the strength of our community to achieve a goal of providing a safe place for kids, while they
get help and while they heal. If you have a skill or trade that you can volunteer to Safe Place, please contact us through
